September 2011 – Perushtitsa

In mid-September the project team conducted a fieldwork research in Perustitsa. Our interest is focused on the traditional technologies (vine growing and wine producing) and their contemporary uses; the meaning of national-historical heritage for the local community and for attracting people from outside; networking of town (in Perustitsa case – municipal as well) institutions: administration, culture centre, museum, business; development of mountaineering in a region where this tourism is traditionally institutionalised.
